Just add
the seasonings to a can of pork and beans (or vegetarian baked beans) then
bake for a sweet, smoky and hearty side dish. Chock-full of onions, green
peppers, brown sugar, tomato, garlic, and spices!

Oven Directions |
In a 2-quart oven-proof dish,
stir together 1/3 cup boiling water and mix. Allow to rest for 5
minutes. Stir in a 30 oz. can of pork and beans (or vegetarian baked
beans). Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. |

Microwave Directions |
In a 2-quart microwave-proof
dish, stir together 1/3 cup boiling water and mix. Allow to rest for
5 minutes. Stir in a 30 oz. can of pork and beans (or vegetarian
baked beans). Microwave on high heat for 8 minutes, stirring after 4
minutes. |

Stove-Top Directions |
In a 2-quart saucepan, bring 1/3
cup water to a boil. Stir in mix, remove from heat and allow to rest
for 5 minutes. Stir in a 30 oz. can of pork and beans (or vegetarian
baked beans), return to low heat, cover, and simmer over low heat
for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. |

Crock Pot Directions |
In a crock pot turned on to high
heat, stir together 1/3 cup boiling water and mix. Allow to rest for
5 minutes. Stir in a 30 oz. can of pork and beans (or vegetarian
baked beans). Cook, covered, for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
If beans will be in the crock pot over 1 hour, you may need to add
small amounts of water as the liquid in the beans evaporates. |
